Parents-to-be Mark and Keosha couldn’t wait for the birth of their son in March. They never expected that their baby boy would arrive early in November and require a 238-night hospital stay. While Spencer gained strength and reached milestones in the NICU, his family found their “home away from home” just steps away at the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Piedmont Triad. Our House not only provided lodging, but also opportunities to make memories, celebrate holidays, and find support. Daily visits at Spencer’s bedside allowed his family to bond together, and celebrations made Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s, and St. Patrick’s Day special. By the time Spencer was ready to go home, his parents had logged 450 trips to the hospital, 714 meals, 59 loads of laundry, 170 BINGO games, 34 pet therapy sessions, and 238 nights in our Ronald McDonald House.
Your support allows families like Spencer’s to just be a family. You’re the reason we are able to keep families close. Your support and care make all the difference.
