Family Stays:
Our House is a place of comfort and rest for families who live outside of Forsyth County, with children 21 years and under receiving medical treatment in our community. Exceptions to the eligibility standards apply. Contact us to determine your eligibility.
Family Stay Referral:
For your first stay at the Ronald McDonald House Piedmont Triad, you must be referred by the hospital where your child is being treated. Please contact a member of your child’s care team to learn more about the referral process.
Once a referral has been made, our team will contact you to confirm receipt of the referral and discuss your stay.
Background Check:
For the safety of all House occupants, Ronald McDonald House Piedmont Triad conducts a criminal background check on all guests 18 years or older. Everyone wanting to stay will be asked to complete a background check authorization form before checking in. The background check is primarily screening for felony convictions and pending charges for violent crimes. However, we reserve the right to deny access to the House on any grounds. If you refuse to complete the background check, your room request will be denied.
- Most traffic violations will not be seen as a reason for denial.
- You are welcome to call the House to speak with a manager about your personal circumstances.
- We do not conduct a credit check or see any credit history information.
- If a family member is denied that family member is not allowed to stay or visit the House, but the rest of the family is welcome to stay.
Check-In:
During your check-in, a member of our Guest Services team will guide families through house guidelines and paperwork, provide a tour of the house and answer any questions. Please ensure that each adult staying in the House has a photo ID on hand when checking in.
Check-in times are seven days a week:
Monday – Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
After-hours check-ins are available with advanced approval.
