Cheers to 50 YEARS! 🎉 Today we celebrate five decades of mission impact around the world and the incredible community who has helped us achieve our founder, Dr. Audrey Evans’, vision to support the entire family during a child’s healthcare journey. Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia on October 15, 1974, RMHC has supported tens of millions of families across 1,000+ programs in 62 countries and regions. RMHCPT is proud to be part of this global community of care. Last year, we served 893 families in our House, and made more than 36,000 visits to children and families at bedside or in our Family Rooms. And we couldn’t do it without the countless supporters who made this all possible! We're looking ahead to the next 50 years, with a vision of a world where every family has what they need to ensure the best health outcomes for their children. ...

This week we received a wonderful and generous donation from volunteers who are members of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated at North Carolina A&T State University! The sorority assembled 1000 kits of toiletry and comfort items for new moms in our area hospitals, to be distributed through our Family Room and Hospitality Carts. We're especially touched by the time they dedicated to writing such warm & loving messages to go in the kits. Thank you to these sisters for caring for our families! ...

"Just like every parent, we were proud when something good happened. It was often very hard for some of our friends to process what we were going through. They didn't know how exciting it was for our baby's isolate to be turned down a few degrees or, that we had had our first bath. What these cards did was provide a way for us to tell our baby's story." 🏠 ...

The story of our Ronald McDonald House began more than 40 years ago with a brave family; in the midst of their grief for their son Alan, they dreamt of a way to help other families. Alan's journey with cancer and his family's passion has created a legacy that continues to grow. This September, we honor all families facing childhood cancer, and the medical teams, researchers, and caring individuals who are working for #BetterSurvival. ...
