New York to North Carolina
When the adoption call came, New York residents Margaret and Rob Drysielski were ready! With optimism and excitement, they began their journey as parents by jumping in the car and driving through the night. The Drysielskis knew their daughter would be born with complications, but they didn’t know how long she would require hospitalization or where they would stay.
When they finally met Baby Juliet, it was love at first sight! She needed time in the NICU to get stronger and outgrow some prenatal issues, so the new parents were referred to our Ronald McDonald House. Just steps away from Juliet’s crib, they had a private room and all the comforts of home.
17 days later, Juliet was discharged with a clean bill of health. The Drysielskis spent their first days together at our House while adoption paperwork was finalized and even had their first family photoshoot!
Thanks to you, RMHWS families like Juliet’s can focus on what matters most: caring for their children. Your support ensures families are close to each other and the care they need. For RMHWS and our families, we thank you.
